Our emergency team are there to triage your pets needs upon onset and this will be conducted by one of our highly trained veterinary nurses in conjunction with one of our veterinarians. They will need to ask you some questions about your pet’s symptoms to determine the level of urgency and the condition of your pet.

During triage we will aim to provide you with an estimate for costs involved, however, emergency situations can be unpredictable and the care best required for your pet may change, therefore costs may vary. Our team members will keep you updated throughout the treatment and care of your pet while in hospital.

Common emergencies can include:

• Hit by car

• Broken leg

• Known snake bite

• Tick paralysis

• Collapsed

• Poisoning

• Abdominal distention (bloating)

• Painful Abdomen

• Unable to urinate

• Breathing difficulties

• Object stuck in mouth or throat

• Insect sting to face

• Persistent seizures or fitting

• Birthing difficulties

• Swelling or bulge from vagina or rectum

• Eye protrusion

• and a range of injuries
