THE QVCC DIFFERENCE IN ACTION
OUR INVESTMENT IN SAFETY, DIAGNOSIS, AND COMFORT
Quality care is impossible without quality infrastructure. Our 500m² purpose-built facility reflects our deep commitment to patient safety and superior diagnostics.
- Advanced Diagnostics at Your Doorstep: We ensure rapid diagnosis through our extensive in-house laboratory. For more complex cases, we provide access to CT and MRI imaging by utilising local human medical facilities after hours. Results are interpreted by specialist teams overseas, often with a turnaround time of just four hours, allowing for rapid and accurate treatment planning.
- Patient-Centric Design: Every aspect of our hospital is designed for the comfort and safety of your pet, from our separate dog and cat wards and a dedicated isolation unit to our non-clinical Quiet Room for respectful end-of-life care. This meticulous attention to detail defines the quality of our care.
- Superior Preventative Products: We only stock products that we have thoroughly screened and used ourselves. Our team is trained to consult fully on our range of foods, prescription diets, and superior parasite preventatives (such as the yearly flea/tick and heartworm injections), ensuring your pet receives the most reliable and safest coverage available.
INVESTING IN OUR PEOPLE FOR BETTER PATIENT OUTCOMES
We believe that a well-supported, focused, and happy team delivers the best possible care to your pets. Our commitment to our staff is a direct investment in the quality of service you receive.
- Supportive Team Environment: We focus heavily on team building, regular meetings, and providing a culture of mutual support. This internal strength allows our team to fully support our clients and patients.
- The On-Site Crèche: Our unique on-site crèche facility allows team members with young children to continue their dedicated professional work knowing their little ones are nearby and cared for. This commitment to staff wellbeing reflects the compassion that is central to our hospital’s identity.
- Continuous Education: We ensure our veterinary and nursing teams receive continuous training on products, procedures, and specialist referrals, making sure we remain leaders in modern veterinary medicine in Central Queensland.

We are dedicated to supporting the community that supports us. We have initiated a program to support a different local or national charity on a monthly or bi-monthly basis, starting with Sophie's Legacy. We believe in giving back and extending our care beyond the walls of our hospital.
If you see your pet as family, you will fit in very well here.
OUR HISTORY

A Vision 20 Years in the Making
The establishment of QVCC was not an overnight decision but the culmination of a two-decade-long vision to bring a high-level hospital facility to Yeppoon. The land for the hospital was purchased approximately many years ago by the owner's family, specifically with the future goal of creating a comprehensive veterinary facility.
Owner and lead veterinarian, Veronica Cech, grew up in Yeppoon and always had a love for animals, driven by the desire to be a vet. The development of QVCC was deeply personal, starting while she was still in vet school. The hospital opened its doors in 2021, successfully fulfilling the long-held vision of providing the local area with an independent, dedicated, and purpose-built centre for quality veterinary care.
