Two surgical theatres
We utilise separate, fully equipped operating theatres, including one set up for more complex and orthopaedic surgery. This investment in space and equipment is a key part of our commitment to patient safety:
- Plumbed-in oxygen to every theatre and key areas in the hospital, so lifesaving oxygen is instantly available without chasing cylinders.
- Advanced Anaesthesia: Modern anaesthetic machines and active scavenging systems keep both patients and staff safe by mechanically removing anaesthetic gas byproducts.
- Continuous Monitoring: Every patient’s anaesthesia is closely monitored, tracking blood pressure, ECG, oxygen, carbon dioxide (capnography), heart rate and temperature.
- Specialist Support Features: Our advanced theatre includes heated surgical tables, bright theatre lighting, electrocautery and suction to support complex orthopaedic and soft-tissue procedures.
RAPID DIAGNOSTICS AND IMAGING
Fast answers lead to faster, more effective treatment. We have invested heavily in on-site diagnostic tools.
- Imaging and Diagnostics: A fully equipped imaging room with digital X-ray, ultrasound and endoscopy available on site.
- Advanced Imaging Access: For more advanced imaging, such as CT or MRI, we work with visiting specialists and local human medical facilities. This means many of these high-level tests can still be arranged through the hospital, saving you long trips to distant referral centres where possible, and providing results in as little as four hours.
- In-House Laboratory: Blood and urine machines on site so we can quickly check organ function, hydration, infection and more. Rapid results are especially important in emergencies, before anaesthetics and for older or unwell pets. Pre-anaesthetic blood tests are offered for all patients going under anaesthesia to help identify hidden risks and tailor their care.
COMFORT AND CONTINUOUS MONITORING
Every detail of our ward and recovery areas is designed to promote a calm, swift recovery.
- Dedicated Hospital Kitchen (Food Preparation Area): A separate food preparation area for hospital patients, where individual meals are prepared. This space allows us to manage prescription diets, special feeding plans, syringe feeds and nutritional support for unwell pets in a clean, organised environment.
- Hospital Wards for Dogs and Cats: We maintain fully separate dog and cat wards to keep noise and smells to a minimum, helping reduce stress.
- The dog ward includes spaces suitable for both large and small dogs, with comfortable runs and cages.
- The cat ward is located in one of the quietest parts of the hospital, away from barking and high foot traffic.
- All inpatients are checked frequently throughout the day, with their records and treatment plans close at hand.
- Isolation and Wildlife Ward: A dedicated isolation and wildlife ward for infectious or high-risk cases, as well as injured wildlife. This area is set up so patients can be treated safely away from the general wards, with strict hygiene protocols in place to help protect every animal in the hospital.
SUPPORTING WELLNESS AND DIFFICULT MOMENTS
Quiet Room for Difficult Moments
A more home-like room set aside for palliative care discussions and euthanasia, away from the busy parts of the hospital. Families can come and go through a discreet entrance close to this room, with the option to avoid the main waiting area altogether. The space is designed to give privacy, time and comfort for saying goodbye.
Grooming and Wellness Areas
- Grooming and Bathing Room: A dedicated grooming and bathing space with its own facilities, used for bath and towel-dry services, nail clipping and grooming-related procedures. This helps keep wet pets and grooming activity out of the main clinical areas.
- Rehabilitation and Physio Area: Space and equipment for post-operative rehabilitation, arthritis management and tailored exercise plans. This includes areas for electromuscle stimulation (EMS) sessions and structured movement exercises, with owners provided with home-care guides to continue rehab between visits.
- Outdoor Yard and Exercise Area: A secure outdoor yard where hospital patients can be exercised and toileted safely. This allows dogs to stretch their legs, get some fresh air and maintain more normal routines during longer stays, under the supervision of the nursing team.
INVESTING IN OUR TEAM, INVESTING IN YOUR PET
A supported, well-trained team is a big part of why the hospital runs smoothly and why pets receive consistent care. Our facility reflects this commitment
- On-Site Crèche Facility: This unique amenity allows our team to focus on the care of your pet, knowing their children are close by and safe, reflecting our deep commitment to staff well-being and a compassionate workplace culture.
- Team Residence and Training: A team residence within the building allows vets and our visiting specialists to stay overnight when required, helping support after-hours and intensive care. We also have dedicated training and meeting rooms for ongoing education, ensuring our staff remains at the forefront of veterinary medicine.
- Pharmacy: A well-stocked pharmacy within the hospital, so most medications can be dispensed on the spot. Our team focuses on evidence-based treatments and preventatives rather than generic pet-shop options.
- Puppy Preschool and Training Space: An area that can be used for small-group puppy preschool, basic training and education sessions. Classes are kept to a manageable size so puppies can socialise safely and become familiar with the clinic in a positive setting.

PARKING AND EASY ACCESS
A large on-site car park with full disabled access into the hospital, including client amenities designed with accessibility in mind. There is room to help nervous or mobility-impaired pets in and out of the car, and owners can call from the car park if they would prefer to be brought straight through to a consult or the quiet room.
All of these areas are connected so that when your pet moves from consult to imaging, to surgery or recovery, they are always close to the team and never “out of sight, out of mind.”
